ULTIMATE HIGH-FREQUENCY TECHNOLOGY: Also this type uses the advanced Aquamot high-frequency charging technology. Therefore HFS-series has all advantages of HFM-series: efficient charging process, plus sparing and lifetime promoting charging of the batteries
LED-SPOTS FOR THE CHARGING-STATUS: 3 integrated LED-spots (green, yellow, red) provide you information regarding the charging status incl. errors.
ROBUST ALUMINUM HOUSING: The aluminum housing is very robust and shock-resistant. Therefore Aquamot HFS chargers are a reliable a versatile partner onboard.
IN- & OUTPUT CABLE: Both cables are included in the standard equipment and are 1.5m long. The plug of the input cable is a SCHUKO-plug.
MOUNTING HOLES: The large designed mounting holes allows a comfortable mounting in the boat.
To choose the right charging power, you should consider the following steps:
- Consider the voltage of the battery bank. The output voltage of the charger and the total voltage of the battery bank have to be always identical.
- Determine the total capacity of the battery bank. ATTENTION: The capacity of the whole battery bank is only decreased in parallel connection, not in serial connection.
- The output current should be roughly 6% to 14% of the total capacity of the battery bank at AGM, Silicone, GEL and lead-acid batteries (for example: 260Ah batteries should be charged between 16A to 35A)
